Paid tests
Order a third-party test
Anyone can fund a test of a tracked vendor's product: a vendor, a buyer, a forum. Payment buys the test and nothing about its result. VialPost buys the lot blind at retail, a laboratory assays it without knowing the vendor, and the result is published pass or fail, labelled with who paid.
This page as Markdown. Every figure keeps its source and date.
What a paid test buys
- A blind retail purchase of the product you name, from the vendor you name, by VialPost as an ordinary customer, with no notice to the vendor and no choice of lot by anyone but VialPost.
- Labels stripped and the sample coded before it reaches a laboratory with no commercial relationship to the vendor. The laboratory is named on the record.
- Purity measured by RP-HPLC in triplicate against a reference standard, compared with what the label or certificate claimed.
- A published record: the lot number, both purity figures, the delta, the method, the laboratory, the date, the chain-of-custody note, and who funded the test. Pass or fail.
- The same record in the registry, on the vendor and compound pages, in the status feed, in the JSON and in the Markdown twins, from the day it is reviewed.
What it does not buy
- A choice of lot, batch or vial. VialPost picks what it buys and when.
- A look at the result before anyone else. The payer sees it when it is published.
- Any say over publication: no delay, no softening, no withdrawal, no veto. A failing result is published and is not refunded.
- A ranking, a badge, a grade or a better position. The site does not rank vendors and a result is not an endorsement.
- Dosing, medical or therapeutic guidance of any kind. All compounds are for laboratory research use only.
How it runs
You name the vendor and the compound
By email for now, or through the checkout once one is linked. VialPost confirms the quote and the payment details.
VialPost buys blind at retail
From the vendor’s public storefront, at full price, through an ordinary customer account. The vendor is not told, and the payer is not told which lot until the record is published.
The laboratory tests it
Labels stripped, sample coded, RP-HPLC in triplicate against a reference standard, by a laboratory with no commercial relationship to the vendor.
The result is published, labelled
Pass or fail, with every field the registry carries and the line that says who funded it. The vendor is notified when it is published, not before.
The full method, the chain-of-custody procedure and the corrections policy are on the methodology page. Every published result, paid or not, sits in the registry with the same fields.
About paid tests
- If a vendor pays for a test of its own product, can it keep a bad result quiet?
- No. The payer chooses only the vendor and the compound. VialPost buys the lot blind at retail, the laboratory does not know the vendor, the payer sees the result when it is published, and a failing result is published exactly as a passing one, labelled as vendor-funded. There is no refund for a fail.
- Why label who paid?
- Because a reader is entitled to weigh it. A vendor-funded result was still bought blind and tested by a laboratory that did not know the vendor, but the reader should not have to take that on trust; the label and the method are on every record.
- What does the fee cover?
- The retail price of the vial and the laboratory’s assay. The price is on this page once set and quoted by email until then; it differs with the vendor and the compound because the vial does.
- Which coins are accepted?
- The accepted coins and the address come by reply to your order. Payment is in cryptocurrency only.
