Disclosures

How this site makes money

You are reading a site that compares vendors and can earn from some of them. That is a conflict of interest, and the only honest response to it is to write it down in full.

In plain language

The short version

VialPost intends to earn money in two ways: affiliate commissions on some outbound vendor links, and clearly labelled paid placements. Both are disclosed. Neither buys a grade, a result, a ranking position, or silence about a failure.

Where a priced element appears anywhere on this site, it carries a link back to this page. If you ever find a priced element that does not, that is a bug worth reporting.

As of the date on this page, VialPost has no active affiliate enrolments and no paid placements. The programs listed below are terms that vendors publish, recorded because they represent an earning opportunity a reader should know about — not arrangements that currently exist. This page is updated when that changes.

Vendor affiliate terms

What tracked vendors publish

Recorded from each vendor's own program page, with the source link and the date it was verified. Where a rate could not be verified, nothing is recorded.

Paid placements

Current sponsorships

Every paid placement, who paid for it, where it runs and for how long.

No paid placements are running

When a placement is sold it is listed here with the vendor, the placement, and the dates it runs — and labelled as paid wherever it appears on the site.

The line

What money cannot buy here

  • A purity result, or any part of one.
  • A position in a ranking or a price table. Tables sort on the data, never on commercial relationships.
  • Removal, delay, softening or advance sight of a failing result.
  • Inclusion in, or exclusion from, the testing queue.
  • An unlabelled placement. Every paid placement says it is paid, where it appears.
  • Editorial control over the methodology, the corrections policy, or this page.

The testing policy this rests on is set out in full on the methodology page.

Regulatory

FTC disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, VialPost may receive a commission from the vendor at no additional cost to you. This is disclosed here, in the site footer, and beside every priced element, in compliance with the US Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials.

VialPost is not a vendor, does not sell compounds, and holds no financial interest in any vendor it tracks beyond the affiliate and placement arrangements disclosed on this page.

All compounds referenced on this site are discussed for laboratory research use only. VialPost publishes no dosing, medical, therapeutic or administration guidance of any kind.

Questions

About disclosures

Does VialPost earn money when I buy from a vendor?
It can. Some outbound vendor links are affiliate links, which means VialPost may earn a commission if you buy after following one, at no extra cost to you. Whether a link is an affiliate link never affects whether a vendor is tracked, tested, or how a result is published.
Can a vendor buy a better purity result?
No. No payment of any kind can cause a result to be improved, withheld, delayed, softened or removed, and no vendor sees a result before publication. The full policy is on the methodology page.
How will I know if a placement is paid?
It will say so on the placement itself, in plain language, at the point you encounter it — not only here. Paid placements are labelled where they appear.
Does VialPost accept free product from vendors?
No. Every vial tested is bought at full retail price through an ordinary customer account. A vial a vendor chose to send is a vial a vendor chose, which makes it useless as a sample.
