What a status does and does not mean
Trading means the storefront resolved and responded when last checked. It is not an endorsement, a purity claim, or a statement that the vendor is reputable.
Closed means a closure, raid or enforcement outcome has been recorded with a source. Where a vendor’s own site carries the notice, that notice is the source.
One tracked vendor responds only to browser clients and could not be verified by automated fetch. It is listed with that limitation stated on its record rather than being silently dropped or presented as confirmed.
